Dynamic Performance Optimization Based on Supercapacitor Power Control Method for Doubly Salient Electromagnetic Generator
The load changes will reduce the operational stability of the doubly salient electromagnetic generator (DSEG) system, causing deterioration in the dynamic performance. A DSEG dynamic performance optimization method is proposed based on supercapacitor (SC) power control. SCs have the characteristics of high efficiency and fast response. A DSEG dynamic performance optimization method based on SC power control is introduced, using busbar power instead of busbar voltage as the control target for the energy storage system. Comparative analysis was conducted on the impact of this method and conventional control methods on busbar voltage. The analysis shows that the proposed method exhibits a greater impact on reducing the fluctuation of busbar voltage and shortening the time for busbar voltage to recover and stabilize when the load of the 12/8-pole DSEG system changes, optimizing the dynamic performance of DSEG system.
