Research on Sequential Control Scheme for the Main Feedwater Deaerator System in the Conventional Island of a Nuclear Power Plant

During the startup and shutdown processes of a pressurized water reactor (PWR) nuclear power plant unit, operators are required to perform a large number of monitoring tasks at the system, functional, and equipment levels. The reliance on manual operations by operators is not conducive to improving the efficiency of the unit and can easily lead to human errors. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and study the startup and shutdown processes of the unit to enhance the level of automation in nuclear power plants and assist operators in running the plant safely and efficiently. Taking the main feed water deaerator system in the conventional island of a nuclear power plant as an example, this paper deeply analyzes the steam switching process of the deaerator system. It explores the direction for improving the automation level of this system and proposes a sequence control scheme. This sequential control scheme enhances the overall automation level of the main feed water deaerator system in the conventional island of a nuclear power plant, effectively reduces the workload and probability of errors by operators, and provides strong support for the safe, efficient, and economical operation of the nuclear power plant. It also offers a reference for sequential control schemes of similar systems.
