Analysis on the Difference of Output Characteristics of VSG under Different Damping Terms
With the increasing severity of global energy depletion and the rise of new energy generation, grid-forming control technologies for converters have garnered widespread research and application worldwide. Currently, the damping term forms in mainstream grid-forming control techniques vary significantly, yet there is a scarcity of literature that investigates the differences among these control methods. In this context, this paper explores the characteristics of different control forms from the perspective of power output. Firstly, the power transfer function model is derived from the transfer function perspective. Secondly, the derived transfer function is analyzed in terms of steady-state and power command changes. Finally, experiments conducted in MATLAB validate the results obtained from the theoretical analysis, providing valuable insights for practical engineering applications.
