Closed Loop Control of Multi Port Output Buck Boost DC-DC Converter for Wireless Power Charging in Electric Vehicle Applications

Wireless power transfer systems are gaining significant attention for electric vehicle applications due to their convenience, efficiency, and ability to eliminate physical connectors. In WPT-based EV charging, efficient power management and distribution are crucial for optimizing battery charging and supplying various onboard loads. Multi port output buck boost DC-DC converters are very important in the Electrical vehicle applications to charge the battery as well as to give power supply to miscellaneous loads in the vehicle. This paper introduces a closed loop single input multi port output buck-boost DC-DC converter with closed loop operation and eliminates the cross regulation problem. The circuit developed in the MATLAB simulation environment with 50V-60V input voltage for output power 250W- 300W. It can produce three different voltages at loads due to operating in buck, boost, and buck boost mode like i01>i02>i03 or i03>i02>i01 and output voltages V01, V02 and V03 not effected by varying the currents.
