Design and implementation of wireless detection system for environmental fume noise
With the increasing public demand for environmental quality, many local governments have initiated campaigns to regulate kitchen fumes and noise pollution. To achieve "prompt detection and resolution" and safeguard public environmental rights, this paper presents a solar-powered wireless monitoring system for kitchen fumes and noise based on LoRa (Long Range) technology. The system comprises a power supply module, controller, communication module, gateway node, terminal nodes, and a QT-based host computer interface. The power circuit utilizes solar energy to supply the system. Data collected by sensors in the terminal nodes are transmitted to the controller, relayed via LoRa communication to the gateway, and finally displayed and logged on the host computer through serial communication. Experimental results demonstrate that the MQ-2 smoke sensor triggers accurate alarms when fume concentrations exceed thresholds, while noise measurement achieves a precision of ±2 dB to ±5 dB. This system enables effective indoor fume and noise monitoring, enhancing the intelligence of environmental pollution management.
