Study on Methodology for Analyzing Specific Risk to the Survivability of Civil Aircraft Systems
In order to ensure the safety and landing of an airplane, system survivability requires that redundant systems or equipment within the perimeter of the airplane fuselage that lead to catastrophic failure be arranged at a distance that meets certain requirements or take prescribed protective measures to prevent any event (e.g., an explosion or a device combustion) from leading to an accident. According to the requirements of CCAR25 Part 25.795, we interpreted the civil aircraft system survivability airworthiness validation clause and established the system survivability specific risk analysis process; based on the failure conditions in the functional hazard assessment, we proposed the aircraft and system survivability analysis methods; through the application of these methods in the model, we proved the feasibility and validity of the methods and established the system survivability specific risk analysis complete airworthiness compliance. The feasibility and validity of the methodology is demonstrated by applying the methods in a type application, and a complete airworthiness compliance evidence chain is established for system survivability specific risk analysis. The proposed method effectively demonstrates the airworthiness compliance with CCAR 25.795 on system survivability.
