VMD-based ultrasonic guided wave rail monitoring system
Subway, as a convenient and safe transportation mode for urban residents, has gradually increased with the continuous maturity of technology, and its routes are spread across various hub areas in the city. Based on the real-time online detection system of ultrasonic guided wave rail breaking, this study proposes a signal processing method for ultrasonic guided waves - Variational Mode Decomposition (VMD). The VMD method can effectively extract useful components from ultrasonic guided wave signals and determine whether there is a broken rail defect in the subway track. The ultrasonic guided wave monitoring system can achieve safe maintenance of the subway track route.
