Research on the State Evaluation Technology of Circuit Breaker Operating Mechanisms Based on Closing and Opening Current Waveforms
With the advancement of power systems, circuit breakers have become essential control and protection devices. Assessing the status of their operating mechanisms is crucial for ensuring the safe operation of the power grid. This paper investigates the characteristics of the current waveform associated with circuit breaker turn-on coils and explores its correlation with the state of the operating mechanism. We propose a comprehensive state evaluation technique based on a current waveform fingerprint database. By establishing a fault simulation testing platform, developing a simulation model, and creating specialized evaluation devices and software, we achieve high-precision assessments of circuit breaker operating mechanisms. The diagnostic accuracy rate can exceed 98%. This technology offers robust support for condition-based maintenance and fault prevention in power equipment, demonstrating significant potential for widespread application.
