Imaging technology of Birds based on Microwave Photonics
Aiming at the safety problem of bird strike events in airports, based on the advantages of low phase noise, ultra-wideband, and high resolution of microwave photonics radar, this paper studies the one-dimensional range imaging and range-doppler (RD) imaging of birds using simulated echo data. At the same time, this paper improves the traditional RD algorithm to make it more suitable for the frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar imaging system. The imaging comparison results show that the improved RD algorithm has obvious advantages in bird imaging. Additionally, this paper also shows imaging results for birds of various sizes and directions, providing a richer set of bird features and significantly enhancing bird recognition capabilities. The research results provide valuable reference and theoretical basis for the construction of airport bird detection systems.
