Research on Economic Operation Strategy of Virtual Power Plant from the Perspective of Carbon
With the introduction of the "double carbon" target, the power industry has reached a consensus on pursuing low-carbon development. Carbon constraints have emerged as a crucial factor in the resource allocation and operation of virtual power plants. Serving as an effective platform for aggregating distributed resources, including adjustable loads, distributed power supplies, distributed energy storage, and carbon capture devices, virtual power plants are capable of fully leveraging the adjustable resources on the demand side. They can also enhance the utilization efficiency of solar power generation and transform carbon emission reductions into valuable metrics. This paper incorporates carbon constraints, formulates a virtual power plant scheduling model that aims to minimize costs, examines the carbon emission reduction benefits generated by the construction and operation of virtual power plants, and achieves low-carbon operation of virtual power plants.
