Design of New Miniaturized Dual-Band Mobile Phone Antenna
With the continuous development of wireless communication, the design of mobile phone antenna also needs to cover different frequency bands according to different application scenarios. In addition, the space reserved for the design of mobile phone antenna is becoming smaller and smaller, which requires the design of mobile phone antenna to reduce the size of the antenna as far as possible. However, when the antenna size is too small, the radiation performance of the antenna will become worse, and the antenna bandwidth will become narrow. It cannot meet the requirements of multiple frequency bands. Therefore, it is important to research the direction of mobile phone antenna design to cover multiple frequency bands while reducing the size. This paper introduces a new type of antenna designed for smart phones with metal frames, which is like a U-shaped structure. The antenna can cover 1.7-1.9 GHz in the middle band and 2.3-2.7 GHz in the high band. It can realize the miniaturized antenna design and cover multiple frequency bands at the same time. The average free space efficiency of the proposed antenna is 80% at 1.7-1.9 GH, and the average efficiency is more than 90% at 2.3-2.7 GHz. The normalized average body SAR is lower than 1 W/kg.
