Research on Electrical and Electronic System Design of Commercial Aircraft Fuel System
Fuel system of commercial aircraft is a significant airborne system which mainly provides proper fuel feed to engine(s) and auxiliary power unit (APU). Typically, most of fuel system devices are mechanically and electrically installed in the left, center and right wing of commercial aircraft (and other common areas e.g., Cockpit, Electronic and Equipment Bay). The combinations of several devices constitute electrical and electronic systems. To make sure the normal operation of fuel system, appropriate designs of fuel electrical system and electronic system are essential for commercial aircraft. The fuel electrical and electronic systems are capable of controlling electromechanical devices, monitoring fuel system status and communicating with aircraft Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA). This article targets on characteristics of commercial aircraft fuel electrical and electronic system and research on optimized designs.
