Malfunction Diagnoses of Bearings of Vibration Mill Based on Vibration Monitoring
Bearing malfunction is one of the common faults in vibration mills. Accurate diagnosis of the vibration mill bearing faults is necessary to ensure the vibration mill operates in a safe and stable state. In this paper, a vibration accelerometer is used to detect the vibration of the mill. Reasonable test parameters are determined according to the frequency structure of the moving parts of the vibration mill, and then the measurement system is established. Through analysis in the time domain and frequency domain of the test signal, the characteristics related to the faults of the vibration mill bearing are extracted. The test results show that the working frequency component of the bearing is prominent, which is caused by the rotation of the eccentric shaft; the harmonics of the test signal spectrum are abundant, mainly because the foundation of the supporting spring of the vibration mill is loose; clear modulated sidebands appear around the eigenfrequency of the outer race of the bearing, which indicates significant defects have developed in the outer ring of the bearing.
