Assessment of Factors Affecting Icing in Civil Aircraft Fuel Feed System and Safety Flight Advise
When civil aircraft flies in high-altitude and low-temperature environments, fuel feed system icing may cause a decrease in fuel pressure and flow rate at the engine inlet, which may lead to thrust reduction and even flight accidents. Based on the icing mechanism, testing, and analysis, this article evaluates the icing factors' impacting on fuel feed system, and provides flight safety advise for aircraft flying in cold environment.
