Study on Suction Cavitation Control in High-Pressure Hydraulic Systems of Civil Aircraft

The aircraft hydraulic pump provides hydraulic energy for aircraft control, landing gear retraction and braking, and its safety and reliability are crucial. The hydraulic pump of the 5000psi hydraulic energy system in civil aircraft has insufficient supply pressure due to the long suction pipeline, resulting in cavitation and affecting the service life of the hydraulic pump. A theoretical calculation formula for the suction pressure of the aircraft hydraulic system was constructed, and a digital simulation model based on cavitation control was built using AMESim. The proposed theory and simulation model were validated through experimental analysis, The impact of using a suction accumulator on the suction pressure is also examined, providing a reference for improving cavitation control in hydraulic systems.
