Performance Optimization of Wireless Architectures for Low Latency Communication in Industrial Automation
Processing facilities now increasingly need wireless communication protocols to perform real-time control applications with minimal delays. Modern industrial processes need wireless communication systems which cannot fulfill their essential stringent timing needs. Investigations based on wireless architecture optimizations are carried out through simulated analyses combined with real-time testbed experiments. The research created and evaluated innovative designs that integrated MAC layer improvements together with physical layer transformations which were implemented throughout different industrial settings. The proposed design structure delivered a 94.7% decrease in total latency duration compared to standard protocols alongside a 99.3% success rate for packet transfer under factory common electromagnetic interference. Real-time performance stability was maintained because 98.1% of transmissions successfully delivered data in less than one millisecond duration even when the system was at maximum usage. The investigation reveals wireless industrial architectures deliver dependable performance for hard-to-automate factory processes thus offering potential benefits of completely removing traditional wired manufacturing connections.
