Micro-Vibration Control of CMG by DVA Considering Satellite Installation Boundary
In-orbit micro-vibration has become a research highlight in last decade since the ultra-low vibration environment requirement of high resolution payload. The CMG (Control Moment Gyroscope) is a key actuator of the attitude control system in satellite, the high rotational speed making it the main vibration source and can cause severe effect on the high resolution payload. Therefore, vibration control for the CMG is very urgent. This paper gives the analysis of CMG vibration control using DVA (Dynamic Vibration Absorber) considering the real installation boundary on satellite. The coupling model of the DVA and the honeycomb base is built and the performances of the DVA are evaluated for different mass ratios and boundary conditions. The whole satellite simulation is conducted for further application. The results show that the vibration control performance-of the DVA can be affected by the boundary conditions very much which means when using the DVA to control vibration in satellite one should choose the boundaries very carefully. This paper provides design guideline for such kind of application.
