The Energy Source Selection of Conceptual Design of Small Fixed Wing Commercial Aircrafts with Zero Carbon Emission
Applying new energy sources, including lithium batteries and hydrogen fuel cells, to drive aircraft is an important way for the aviation industry to reduce carbon emissions. For the conceptual design of new energy small fixed-wing aircraft, it is necessary to decide what kind of energy form to use in the conceptual design stage, in which the commercial range performance of the aircraft is an important consideration. This paper compares the effects of lithium batteries, hydrogen fuel cells, and their combination on the commercial range performance of small new energy fixed-wing aircraft.
