Virtual Inertial Control for Transient Power Angle Stability Analysis of Interconnected Systems
The connection of doubly fed wind turbines will affect the transient power angle stability of the power system. By providing inertia support to the system through virtual inertia control, it can effectively avoid weakening the system inertia and improve the frequency stability of the system. This article first constructs an equivalent model of a two machine power generation system with variable inertia wind turbines, and derives the linearized state equation of the two machine system with wind farms. Secondly, based on the proposed transient stability determination method, the transient stability mechanism under different system power angle yaw conditions is derived, and the influence of virtual inertia of wind farms on the transient stability of system power angle is analyzed. Finally, simulation analysis was conducted on two regional power grids with high penetration rates of wind power, and the simulation results verified the correctness of the derived theory.
