Research on the Design of Stiffness Test Fixtures for Civil Aircraft Landing Gear

The landing gear of civil aircraft, as a critical structure responsible for bearing and transmitting loads, plays a pivotal role in ensuring flight safety and passenger comfort. The stiffness characteristics of the landing gear are vital, and stiffness testing is an essential method for evaluating its performance. The design of test fixtures is fundamental to the accuracy and reliability of these tests. This paper presents an in-depth study of the design of test fixtures for civil aircraft landing gear stiffness tests. First, the purpose, importance, and procedure of the landing gear stiffness test are outlined. Then, the loads on the landing gear under various conditions are extracted. Based on this, the constraint conditions are reasonably simplified to reduce model complexity while ensuring data validity. Engineering algorithms are employed to theoretically calculate the fixture strength, ensuring its performance under extreme loads. Finite element analysis software is utilized for simulation analysis of the fixture under load, enhancing its safety and reliability. The results indicate that the landing gear stiffness test design is reasonable, the fixtures meet the requirements of the stiffness test, and it can provide a basis for the development of landing gear products.
