Airworthiness Certification of Smoke Detectors for Transportation Aircraft

This paper studies the current main standards TSO-C1d, TSO-C1e and their referenced industrial standards AS8036 and AS8036A involved in smoke detector equipment qualification, gives the main factors to be considered in equipment qualification based on the domestic status of smoke detectors design, and gives the proposed airworthiness certification considerations of smoke detectors for transportation aircraft in conjunction with the requirements of CCAR Part 25 regulations.
