Loss Temperature Correlation Modeling of CLLC High Frequency Transformer Based on Area Product

The Area Product (A<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">P</inf>) method is a common method for designing high - frequency transformers, but it has the following limitations: firstly, it is not associated with the actual working conditions of CLLC resonant converters; secondly, it does not consider the efficiency, temperature and other performances of the transformer; finally, the method cannot clearly guide the selection of the magnetic core. Considering these limitations, this paper analyzes how to correctly increase AP to improve transformer efficiency. At the same time, this paper deeply analyzes the structural parameters of the transformer and establishes the thermal model of the transformer through the heat transfer theory. Finally, a complete loss - structure - temperature - correlation model is obtained, and on this basis, the required magnetic core is accurately designed. The correctness of the theory is verified on a 5kW 100kHz bidirectional CLLC platform.
