System design of an AD9959-Based Multipath Effect and Signal Attenuation Simulation
Aiming at the traditional signal generation scheme that cannot meet the demand of simple channel simulation due to the difficulty in combining accuracy and flexibility, this paper designs a multipath effect and signal fading simulation system based on AD9959. The system achieves high-precision reproduction of multipath characteristics through the cooperative control of a high-performance direct digital frequency synthesizer (DDS)-AD9959 and an STM32F429 microcontroller, and the construction of hardware link by combining a wide-band multiplier (AD835), a programmable RF attenuator (PE43407), and a wide-band voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA821). Tests show that based on the multi-parameter co-optimisation and wideband circuit design, the system can achieve high-precision signal generation, multi-dimensional synchronous regulation and excellent operational stability.
