Emergency Response of Relay Protection and Related Analysis under Extreme Weather Conditions
Based on data from relay protection operational assessment system, this paper mainly focuses on the types of line faults and action events of relay protection during the ice disaster in December 2023 for a certain power grid. It fully compares these related data with the relay protection action events in December for nearly ten years from 2013 to 2022. Taking the operation events of a three-parallel transmission line as an example, the study examines the types, spatial and temporal distribution of primary equipment faults and relay protection actions. Furthermore, it explores the emergency response strategies employed by relay protection professional management departments in the face of extreme weather. Providing relevant measures and response plans for the relay protection devices in the affected substations will help electric power companies reduce disaster risks and ensure grid safety.
