Research on High Voltage Electrical Safety Training Simulation Systems on Ships using Virtual Reality Technology

The shipping industry is important in global transportation and trade. Modern ships are now equipped with high-power engines to increase the volume of cargo transported and operate using high-voltage systems. However, operating and maintaining high-voltage ship equipment requires strict requirements and electrical safety procedures. This paper presents a testing and evaluation method to build a TERCO discharge test model integrated with a Virtual Reality (VR) environment in Unity 3D software. This system can be combined with maritime simulation systems, engine room simulation, and fire and rescue simulation for large-scale exercises. The method incorporates algorithms to create high-voltage discharge simulation scenarios and evaluate the risks faced by crew members during training. The research results show that the model operates stably and fulfills the requirements of maritime safety training at sea. Furthermore, the system can assess the risk level when working with crew members and their performance quality after the training process meets current requirements.
