Research on Auto-Cycle Control System of Ultra-Low Temperature Cryocooler
The superconducting detectors of terahertz band typically require a cryostat to provide a working environment at the mK level of ultra-low temperatures. The GL-10 sorption cooler is composed of 3 carbon pumps and corresponding heat switches, with temperature measurement and heating control usually performed using commercial temperature controllers, which are bulky, expensive, and have complex control processes. Due to the specificity of the sorption cooler's control, we developed a circuit to meet the requirements for controlling the cooling cycle of the cryocooler. The circuits I designed can perform measurements for ultra-low temperature resistance sensors and diode sensors, including heating modules for cryopumps and heat switches. The auto-cycle control system I developed perfectly replaces the functionality of commercial devices, achieving control over the cycle of the cryocooler and simplifying the work process.
