Design of Performance Testing Platform for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Test System

Permanent magnet synchronous motors have developed rapidly and are widely used. The working principle of permanent magnet synchronous motor is different from that of three-phase asynchronous motor, and the test bench required for its inspection and testing cannot be used interchangeably with that of asynchronous motor. Generally speaking, the motor inspection center for the detection and testing of permanent magnet synchronous motors often faces problems such as external frequency converter power supply, high testing energy consumption, and narrow coverage of the power range of the test bench. To address these issues, the performance test bench for the designed permanent magnet synchronous motor testing system is constructed based on principles, working condition simulation, data acquisition, and conclusion analysis. During the construction process, the tested motor was directly powered by the variable frequency power supply of the test bench. In order to save energy consumption, an AFE four quadrant rectification/feedback unit was used to design a high and low voltage dual circuit to save energy consumption. Each unit can save about 1/3 of electrical energy. At the same time, high and low power supply modes were set to ensure the measurement accuracy of the test bench. Based on the principle of the test bench, the energy flow of low-power low-voltage, high-power low-voltage motor tests and high-voltage motor tests was analyzed, and a feedback model was constructed. Finally, the test results of the TYCP-250-12-15-185 permanent magnet synchronous motor prototype inspection test bench showed that the error between the analysis value and the guarantee value was within 2%, and the efficiency and comprehensive loss errors were small, possessing the characteristics of low energy consumption and high precision.
