Distributed Calculation Method for Carbon Emission Factors of Power Grid Nodes

According to the Carbon Flow Theory, it is possible to calculate the carbon emission factor of power grid nodes, thereby calculating the indirect carbon emissions of each node's load. Directly using the carbon flow method to calculate the carbon emission factor of a large-scale regional power system requires significant computational power and resources. Moreover, during the calculation process, detailed data from different power grid companies in the region need to be aggregated, which can easily lead to data leakage risks. This article proposes a distributed method that first divides a large-scale region into multiple sub-regions and then solves each region in two steps. The first step calculates the carbon emission factors of each node without considering external injection effects, while in the second step, an iterative method is used to solve for the exchange of carbon emission impacts between regions on electric power carbon emissions factors. Through verification, this method can effectively reduce computation time for calculating power grid node's carbon emission factors over a wide range and accurately calculate them for multiple power grid companies without requiring detailed data sharing, ensuring data security.
