Research on the Control of Linear Induction Motors Based on BES-ULSMC
Linear Induction Motors (LIMs), as a special type of motor, exhibit characteristics such as edge effects and a large air-gap magnetic field. These features lead to strong coupling and nonlinearity, resulting in less than ideal control precision. To address this issue, a Ultra-Local Sliding Mode Controller (ULSMC) based on the Bald Eagle Search Algorithm (BES) is proposed. This speed controller utilizes an improved hyper-spiral algorithm and incorporates a Sliding Mode Controller (SMC) to enhance the robustness of the controller. Considering the numerous parameters and the difficulty in tuning the controller, a strategy is proposed to find the optimal parameters of the controller using the Bald Eagle Search Algorithm. Additionally, simulations are conducted to compare it with a PI controller and a vector control system composed of the Ultra-Local Sliding Mode Controller. The simulation results show that the BES-ULSMC control demonstrates better adaptability under conditions of speed and load sudden changes, exhibiting fast response speed and high robustness.
