Design and Implementation of Aquaculture Farm Environment Monitoring System Based on IoT
With the rapid economic development of our country, marine fisheries are shifting from traditional marine fishing to artificial cultivation and breeding of aquatic products in marine environments. The reduction of natural fishery resources and the increasing environmental protection pressure make artificial breeding the key to increasing aquatic product output in the future. Traditional aquaculture relies on breeders' experience and manual operations, which leads to lagging in water quality monitoring, disease prevention and control, and feed adding, resulting in low breeding efficiency, frequent diseases, and even environmental pollution. To address these issues, this paper proposes and designs an aquaculture environment monitoring system based on the Internet of Things, achieving remote monitoring and management of the breeding environment, reducing breeders' labor intensity and costs, and improving production efficiency. The system uses the STM32 microcontroller as the control core, collects environmental information of the breeding farm through various sensors, and connects to the Internet of Things cloud platform via the ESP8266 WIFI wireless communication module, realizing real-time monitoring of environmental data and remote management. Through the design and testing of the system’s software and hardware, the results show that the system can monitor in real-time the temperature, light intensity, PH value, water level, remaining feed volume, and water quality of the aquaculture environment, and can automatically alarm, automatically feed, and remotely control based on the monitored data, meeting the design requirements and enhancing the intelligence level of aquaculture.
