Collaborative Suppression Method for Electromagnetic Transients in Substations with High Proportion of New Energy Integration

This study presents an integrated approach for mitigating electromagnetic transients in substations with high renewable energy integration. It includes a time-frequency hybrid model for accurate harmonic analysis, online parameter identification using Recursive Least Squares (RLS), and coordinated control of Active Power Filters (APF) and dynamic Static Var Generators (SVG). The proposed method generates precise harmonic commands and optimizes voltage stability through sliding mode control and reactive power sensitivity adjustments. Experimental results show significant improvements: THD reduced from 5.2% to 2.3%, voltage fluctuation narrowed to 0.95-1.03 p.u., and recovery time shortened to 200ms. This approach enhances power quality and system stability, providing practical solutions for integrating renewable energy sources into the grid.
