Design and Implementation of Intelligent Pet House Environment Monitoring System Based on IoT

With the improvement of economic level, changes in family structure, the acceleration of urbanization, and the transformation of cultural concepts, keeping pets has important emotional, health, and social significance. However, the fast pace of life leaves pet owners with insufficient time to accompany and care for their pets. To effectively solve these problems, an intelligent pet house environment monitoring system is proposed and designed in this paper to achieve intelligent monitoring and management of the pet house and ensure pet safety. In the system, a microcontroller is used as the core processor, sensors are used to collect environmental information in the pet house, and a WIFI wireless communication module is used to transmit the collected data to the mobile APP for display. Through the design and testing of the system's hardware and software, the results show that the system can monitor the temperature and humidity, smoke concentration, foul gas concentration, pet body temperature, remaining food volume, and water level in the pet house in real-time. It can also trigger alarms, automatic feeding, timed control, and remote control functions based on the collected data, meeting the needs of pet owners for remote pet care and timely monitoring of the pet house environment, and eliminating their worries.
