Research and Implementation of Dispersion Compensation and Pilot Insertion Algorithms in Noise Processing of 16-QAM Signals
Owing to its high efficiency in information transmission and strong interference resistance, 16-QAM is widely applied in digital television, satellite communication, optical fiber communication, and other fields. This paper takes the noise processing of 16-QAM signals as the research background. By analyzing the process of the digital signal processing, algorithms for dispersion compensation and pilot insertion are designed. Concurrently, the signal constellation diagrams before and after dispersion compensation and phase noise compensation, as well as the curves of bit error rate (BER) varying with relevant parameters, are presented. Finally, the model is implemented on the MATLAB platform, with optimization conducted in the direction of code improvement. The model exhibits satisfactory performance in handling dispersion and phase noise. It eliminates the variations in bit error rate (BER) caused by changes in wavelength and dispersion values, and mitigates the impact of linewidth and baud rate on the signal, thereby meeting the requirements for accurate signal transmission. In addition, this paper discusses the impact of pilot insertion intervals on the model performance.
