DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED BUSINESSES IN RUSSIA AT THE PRESENT STAGE

Small and medium-sized businesses are of crucial importance for strengthening the economic sovereignty of the state. The article examines the trends in the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Russian economy at the present stage. The main objective of the study is to analyze the current growth trends, potential and effectiveness of the activities of SMEs. The transformations in the small and medium-sized business sector in recent years have been studied, including taking into account regional peculiarities.
