Towards Efficient Hospital Management: Theoretical Model of Systemic Management Policies
This article presents a theoretical model of managerial policies aimed at optimizing hospital efficiency in non-profit public entities. It analyzes the “Antonio Maria Pineda” University Hospital using a complementary qualitative and quantitative approach. Based on systems theory, it proposes strategies emphasizing operational efficiency, equity, and sustainability. It identifies issues in resource allocation and the lack of integrated information systems, negatively affecting service quality. Recommendations include implementing management indicators, training personnel, and adopting digital technologies for evidence-based decision-making, improving hospital management comprehensively.
