Simulation Analysis of Double Igniters Y-Type Three-Way Structure Flow Field of Launch Vehicle
In order to provide technical support for the optimization design of the Y-type three-way redundant structure with double igniters of a new generation heavy launch vehicle, ANSYS Fluent fluid simulation software is employed to simulate and analyze the flow field characteristics of the Y-type three-way redundant structure. The article has analyzed the flow state of high-pressure gas inside the Y-type three-way structure and the changes in physical quantities, including pressure and velocity, at various locations under high-pressure gas conditions with different mass flow rates. The simulation results demonstrate that the pressure remains essentially unaltered from the inlet to the Y-type convergence point and rapidly decreases at the Y-type convergence point, slightly increases after passing the Y-type convergence point, and then slowly decreases. At the outlet, the pressure decreases rapidly, while the velocity exhibits an inverse trend. As the inlet mass flow rate of the Y-type three-way structure increases, the pressure of the internal gas rises significantly, while the velocity of the gas decreases to a lesser extent. Based on the simulation results, ignition tests are conducted using Y-type three-way redundant structure with double igniters and straight tube structure with single igniter, and their ignition performance is compared. This enable the feasibility and effectiveness of the Y-type double igniter redundant structure to be verified.
