Analysis of the Influence of High Altitude Special Environment on the Performance Degradation of RTV Coatings
RTV insulators are widely used in transmission lines of China's power system due to their unique hydrophobicity and hydrophobic migration. The RTV disk insulators in the special environment of high altitude are more prone to aging, which poses a serious threat to the stable operation of the power system. In order to get the law of the effect of high altitude special environment on the aging and performance degradation of RTV coating, this paper selects the RTV insulators with different operating years in high altitude transmission lines for research, analyzes the effect of high altitude factors such as temperature and solar radiation on the aging of the coating, and conducts the water repellent and other performance tests of the coating aging and performance degradation. The results show that: high and low temperature alternation will cause the formation of microcracks, brittle and easy to crack within the coating; high humidity will form a water film or water droplets in the coating, resulting in increased corrosion of the surface of the coating; strong solar radiation will lead to large cracks in the coating and the disappearance of hydrophobicity; combined with the hydrophobicity and other performance tests found that whether or not it contains dirt has little impact on the hydrophobicity of RTV insulators, and that the chalking of coatings will be aggravated by the cooking of RTV insulators in water, After boiling, RTV insulators will aggravate the chalking and shedding of the coating, and the hydrophobicity will be seriously reduced.
