Phase compensation enables the generation of near-field perfect structured light
The near-field perfect structured light is proposed using a compensating phase technique. The integrated phase with phase compensation is constructed to satisfy the formation condition of near-field perfect structured light. The dielectric metasurface is chosen as the phase element, and the generated near-field perfect structured light appears at the propagation distance of tens of micrometers. The generation of perfect vortex beam, perfect vector beam, and perfect hybrid vector beam in near field gives the sound verification. The realization of near-field structured light provides large convenience for the coupling of the structured light field with other optical components. This work must bring more potential applications for structured light in many fields, including the light interconnect, quantum communication, and optical micro-manipulation.
