The Role of Artificially Intelligent ERP Systems in Automating Business Processes, Enhancing Decision-Making, and Transparency and Compliance within Organizations: A Case Study for Private Sector Companies

Integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a major step in the changing scenario of business technology because speed is the name of the game. AI technologies are revolutionising ERP systems as a means for managing or automating core business processes such as finance, human resources, procurement, and inventory, among others. As AI- powered systems, these systems have the promise to automate hectic tasks, eliminate human actions and enhance decision-making capabilities; this gives businesses a better way to handle their operations (Olson et al., 2021). The fusion of AI and ERP Is revolutionising the dynamics of the working of the organisation, steering it towards making it more agile, data-orientated and transparent. In addition, the automation capabilities of AI-driven ERP systems also reduce the scope of human errors, making the processes arranged and making sure adherence to the regulatory requirements. This makes things more transparent for operations and gives the organisations the ability to keep track of every transaction, as well as procedures, in much greater detail and accountability. In turn, transparency helps engender trust within the organisation and with the stakeholders outside, like the outside regulators, investors and other customers. In addition, AI integration in ERP systems also helps to improve reporting and auditing processes because it ensures the accuracy of company reports and compliance with industry standards (Davenport & Ronanki, 2018). Considering this, the current research investigates how AI powered ERP systems can automate business processes, and eliminate the aspect of human involvement in manual tasks, enhance decision making in an organization and increase organization transparency. Thereby, the study will discuss these aspects and, findings, become useful information that organisations can rely on to learn the advantages and disadvantages of adopting AI-ERP systems, to be able to observe basic recommendations regarding the integration of these technologies in their business systems. This study is a cross-sectional survey study that collects data at a single time to ascertain the present influence and view individuals have concerning the utilization and effects of AI integrated ERP system on organizational process. Data was collected from 105 companies from different industries including finance, manufacturing and IT, who particularly had experience in ERP systems. Descriptive statistics, reliability and validity assessments as well as hypothesis and correlation and regression analysis were conducted using the SPSS statistical analysis. Testing this capability on a test case reveals that achieved results highlight AIERP’s potential to automate work flows, increase the quality of decisions and it will help in incorporating technologies.
