ADOPTION OF FINTECH SYSTEM AMONG MEDIUM ENTERPRISES
This study aimed to assess the adoption of financial technology (FinTech) among medium enterprises in Naval, Biliran. It specifically explored the challenges and issues faced by employees in adopting FinTech and developed an employee development plan to address these concerns. The findings revealed no significant relationship between the respondents' profiles and the factors influencing FinTech adoption. However, notable challenges encountered by employees included intermittent internet connectivity, system unavailability, inconvenience, perceived risk, and concerns about safety when using FinTech systems for business transactions. The study also examined managers' perceptions, which indicated strong agreement on technical and transactional procedures, access to security guidelines, usability, perceived security, trust, and the use of financial transaction processing systems (FTPS). These results suggest a generally positive attitude toward the continued use of FinTech in business operations. To address the identified challenges, the study recommends investing in technological infrastructure and providing targeted training for employees involved in financial transactions. Training programs should cover best practices, usage guidelines, and emphasize the benefits of FinTech adoption. Additionally, the study suggests that local government units (LGUs) implement supportive policies and regulations to promote FinTech adoption, including subsidies for internet access and efforts to ensure stable connectivity. Overall, this study offers valuable insights into the factors influencing FinTech adoption and the challenges faced by employees, providing a basis for strategies to enhance its implementation among medium enterprises in Naval, Biliran.
