Non-Self-Adjoint Block Convolution Operators of Scalar Type

Abstract The paper deals with the spectral theory of a class of non-self-adjoint convolution operators, which are of scalar type in the sense of Dunford. We consider the spectral decompositions of such operators, focusing on the general case of operators defined on Banach spaces.
