Imaginarios cartográficos y la construcción de la Argentina bicontinental
Cartographic representations reflect the political, economic and cultural interests of States. In Argentina, official cartography historically omitted the relevance of maritime spaces and Antarctica. This article presents a review of the Argentine territorial imaginary, incorporating a bicontinental perspective. It examines the dominant representations in the educational system and public agencies, questions the traditional map and seeks to promote a critical view that highlights the relevance of the sea, the South and the sovereignty dispute over the Malvinas Islands.
