BELIEF AND DOUBT IN THE PHILOSOPHICAL PARADIGM OF THE MIDDLE AGES AND THE MODERN ERA: A LOGICAL-EPISTEMOLOGICAL ANALYSIS
of philosophical analysis is found in apologetics, patristics, and scholasticism of the Middle Ages, which had a significant impact on the reductive-deterministic theory of knowledge of the Modern Age, with its irrational and rational maxims regarding the immoral and humane, the senseless and the reasonable in human existence. In accordance with these conceptions of worldview truth, one may conclude that the individual constructs meaning through an original logical-epistemological framework, grounded in the inherent necessity for the knowing subject to overcome doubt and establish a well-grounded system of justification for the truthfulness of intentions and the rationality of purposive action.
