Current Status and Development Prospects of Devices for Mechanical Crushing of 3D Printing Plastic Waste During its Recycling

The article discusses existing methods of shredding plastic waste, including mechanical shredding using shredders with disk blades. Three-dimensional design of rotating shafts assembled with knives for a mechanical shredder of ABS plastic waste is performed and various options for their implementation are analyzed. Ways of improving the design of the shredder's working chamber are proposed. One of the promising areas for further development of mechanical shredders is the use of designs with replaceable knives, which allows, based on ready-made design solutions, to offer the consumer the most optimal equipment configuration in terms of the type of processed material, productivity, and type of working disk knives. The advantages and disadvantages of replaceable cutting knives with different shapes of the central hole are considered. Based on the research conducted, a diagram was proposed that depicts the main stages of designing a shredder with replaceable knives.
