Development of Zeolite-Based Nanomaterials for Carbon Adsorption

Zeolite-based nanomaterials have received a lot of attention in recent years, due to their potential uses in carbon adsorption, water filtration, and ion exchange. Zeolites, also known as crystalline aluminosilicates, are very porous materials having a distinct structure that allows them to effectively absorb gases, particularly carbon dioxide (CO2). Zeolites provide a sustainable and economical alternative for CO2 adsorption, since their high surface area, variable pore diameters, and specific affinity for CO2 molecules make them an ideal choice for reducing the environmental impact of greenhouse gasses. In addition, zeolite-based materials are commonly used in ion-exchange resins, which are useful in water filtration and softening procedures because they exchange undesirable ions with helpful ones, hence contributing to the purification of water. Zeolites dual function of CO2 adsorption and ion exchange highlights their versatility in environmental applications, helping to clean up air and water systems. The main goal of this study is to investigate the synthesis, modification, and performance improvement of zeolite-based nanomaterials for improved CO2 adsorption and water filtration. The goal of this study is to improve zeolites adsorption efficacy, capacity, and durability by structural and chemical modifications. The development of these advanced compounds has enormous potential for usage in carbon capture systems, water treatment systems, and other industrial processes targeted at reducing environmental pollution levels. . Abstract

The development of these advanced compounds has enormous potential for usage in carbon capture systems, water treatment systems, and other industrial processes targeted at reducing environmental pollution levels. .
