Constitutive function of worldview in the development of culture
Social development is based on the fundamental contradiction of reproduction and change. On the one hand, society, to maintain its cultural certainty, identity and recognition, must be capable of reproducing its structural elements, including the reproduction of the forms of consciousness and the modes of activity of its constituent individuals. On the other hand, the development of society is impossible without updating both the individuals themselves, their consciousness and forms of activity, and the results of their activities, artifacts, and the subject organization of society. The difficulty in explaining the mechanisms of social reproduction lies in the virtual specifics of organizing social activities. Unlike natural determinism, the content of social laws is not genetically transmitted experience of expedient activity. The specificity of cultural activity is that the physical interconnection of structural elements of activity is established by a person arbitrarily, from the point of view of the purpose of activity. In other words, such interrelation is conducted in a supra-biological, supra-natural way. The task is to understand the cognitive originality and functional role of worldview in the development of culture.
