Scalable Execution of Application Logic within E <scp>verest</scp> B <scp>usiness</scp> S <scp>tore</scp>
Relational databases with SQL as the querying language are still the gold standard for developing business applications. Complex logic is often expressed using application code which involves multiple database queries resulting in higher latencies and less optimization potential for the database. Moreover, while modern web development is increasingly relying on JSON-based interfaces, database queries return identically structured rows further exacerbating the long-standing impedance mismatch.
