WATER QUALITY TRENDS OF THE KRIVAJA RIVER ACCORDING TO MULTI-YEAR MONITORING RESULTS

The goal of the work was to, on the basis of the conducted monitoring, water Krivaj in the period 2010-2024. year to assess the concentration trend of selected quality indicators. The results showed that there is a trend of decreasing measured concentrations in all localities, i.e. a slight improvement in the water quality of Krivaja. This may be a consequence of lower input of load through wastewater, different water flows in the watercourse during monitoring, seasonal variations. For the final assessment, more frequent measurements and the application of statistical methods for trend assessment are necessary. Continuous monitoring of surface waters is very important for early detection of pollution, assessment of trends and effects of protection measures, as well as for water management
