Penyusunan Peta Sebaran Rumah Kumuh Bagi Pemerintah Kota Tangerang dalam Mendukung Kebijakan Satu Peta

Background: Preparing maps as information regarding the distribution of slum houses is a problem for the Tangerang City Housing, Settlement, and Land Service. Spatial skills in understanding and compiling maps are also tricky, and this is one of the complaints experienced by State Civil Apparatus. This activity aims to compile a map of the distribution of slum houses as a mapping exercise so that information can be visualized spatially. Method: Activities were carried out in Jakarta on 8-9 August 2024 using ArcGIS 10.8 software by cartographic rules. There were 4 participants from the Tangerang City Housing, Settlement, and Land Service. The method used is training with mapping tutorials. Results: Participants fulfilled three spatial abilities, including visualization, orientation, and spatial relations, when making a map of the distribution of slum houses. All map components are equipped with informative visual displays. Participants can create a distribution of slum houses according to cartographic rules. All participants also carried out the completeness of the map carefully when presenting the map, so the spatial information displayed was very informative. Conclusion: Qualitatively, participants were able to create maps with the theme of slum areas based on the duties and functions of the institution. Making maps on GIS Desktop shows that participants are proficient in spatial thinking skills expressed in map form.
