Linguocultural type “A Lazy Person” as a Part of the Axiological World Picture of Russian-Germans (Based on the Shvanks)

The purpose of the research is to study the linguocultural type “A lazy person”, that is represented in the shvanks and to define some Russian-German values. Using a purposive sampling method fragments representing the linguocultural type “A lazy person” were extracted from the shvanks. In the course of the contextual analysis, the analysis of explanatory and etymological dictionaries and the comparative analysis the author managed to reveal the structure and the content of the investigated linguocultural type. It was revealed that shvanks are capable of reflecting the value picture of the world of an ethnic group and are a means of preserving national identity. One of the components of the value picture of the world is the concept of a linguocultural type. An analysis of key words representing the type and examples verbalizing the type under study in schwanks allowed the author to model a typical image of a lazy Russian German, which is universal, since it combines features of both Russian and German worldviews. A positive assessment of a “lazy person”, to some extent characteristic of Russian linguistic culture, was not found in the schwanks of Russian Germans.
